Karena uploading imeem saya ngadat, semalaman nggak selesai transferring, yah sudah saya ajak ketawa aja deh dengan yang berikut ini :

CARA MELATIH PS YANG BUTA NOT

Ini saya sarikan dari satu milis yang membahas tentang paduan suara, dan topik yang saya pilih adalah : Bagaimana melatih PS yang fals ? Karena apa ? Tak tahu baca not, malas menyanyi, atau memang nggak ‘musikal”. Masalah yang ada sama dengan yang saya hadapi dgn PS Sela atau PS Sektor lainnya di gereja saya. Nah ada yang menjawab begini :

Pertanyaan yang lebih mendasar sebenarnya adalah apa yang membuat seseorang
mampu membidik nada dengan tepat sedangkan orang lain begitu sulitnya
melakukannya? Apa yang melatarbelakangi ketepatan membidik nada?

Menurut saya jawabannya BAKAT.
Tambahannya LATIHAN yang banyak.

Tapi, pembahasan tentang bakat ini tidak berlaku di gereja, dimana biasanya
tercipta paduan2 suara (PS) dadakan dan untung-untungan yang cuma punya modal
nekad. PS2 ini biasanya terbentuk karena "harus", karna 1 "lingkungan"
(pecahannya "wilayah", dalam gereja Katolik) harus punya 1 PS. Kalau di GPIB namanya paduan suara sektor. Kalau di HKBP sering disebut wijk. Inilah yang disebut PS suka-suka itu.

Dalam situasi ini, ada orang yang mau nyanyi dan tekun berlatih pun sudah sangat
disyukuri, baik yang bisa nyanyi maupun tidak. Ada 10 orang yang datang saat
latihan sudah merupakan hal yang luar biasa, dan pastinya, 80% anggota tidak
pernah bernyanyi sebelumnya. Dan dalam situasi ini juga, yang kebagian tugas
melatih adalah satu orang yang paling bisa nyanyi di "lingkungan" bersangkutan,
yang belum tentu bisa melatih maupun mengayunkan tangan (jadi dirigen susah loh,
hehe).

Nah, itu saya tuh, hehe stres abis waktu awal2 jadi pelatih dan dirigen, sampe
akhirnya sekarang udah lumayan bisa menikmati.

Dalam kelompok PS spt ini, yang bisa saya lakukan adalah, mencoba menularkan
kesukaan bernyanyi saya pada mereka, bahwa menyanyi itu menyenangkan, lagu yang
biasa udah kita hafal tu sebenernya indah kalo kita nyanyi pake hati, dan
sedikit2 nyelipin teknik dasar.saya juga nggak bosen2 untuk ngasih contoh suara, dan kalo perlu nyanyiin lagunya supaya mereka juga bisa belajar lewat hearing dan hafalin bentuk lagu.

Untuk sekarang sih, kelompok PS yang saya pimpin ini masih dalam perjalanan
panjang menuju "vokal bulat" dan "nada pitch", hehe tapi kita terus maju, berasa
kemajuannya walau sedikit2. Tapi setiap kita bertugas mengiringi misa, dan
setiap latihan, saya udah cukup terhibur jika saya melihat mereka bisa bernyanyi
dengan senang.

Nah. di PS Sela juga begitu, untungnya kita menyanyi hampir selalu dengan musical track sehingga bisa ‘terjaga’ nggak lari nootnya, meski partiturnya sering nggak dipatuhi. Jadi memang harus mulai dengan do re mi lagi. Caranya mungkin harus seperti di Sound of Music itu, belajar dengan nyanyi Do Re Mi. Tapi jangan yang bahasa Inggeris.

Are We There Yet ?

THIS MAY BECOME A COMMON CONDITION AS THE POPULATION AGES (Are we there yet??? dari milis teman)

Recently, I was diagnosed with A. A. A. D. D. which is a condition called as Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing.

As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left.

My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Pepsi that I had been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Pepsi aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I see that the Pepsi is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need to be watered.

I set the Pepsi down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:

The car isn't washed,

The bills aren't paid,

There is a warm can of Pepsi sitting on the counter,

The flowers don't have enough water,

There is still only one check in my check book,

I can't find the remote,

I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.
